VSP Vision is seeking a customer-focused optical associate to help patients find eyeglasses and contact lenses that best match their needs. You will provide high-quality care, assist with frame selection, measurements, and dispense eyewear while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, precise communication, and adherence to pricing and delivery timelines in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in a related field.
• If required by state: licensure or certification as an optician.
• Working knowledge of MS Office software.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building abilities.
• Ability to identify customer needs through questions.

Responsibilities

• Identify the reason for the visit and lifestyle needs to recommend eyewear.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to attract and retain customers.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and coordinate with measurements and prescriptions.
• Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames based on customer needs.
• Take measurements, assist with adjustments, and dispense eyewear.
• Provide accurate pricing and delivery quotes.
• Document all patient communication in the practice software.
• Maintain displays and assist with insurance billing and orders.
• Collaborate with team to meet patient expectations.
