Job summary

National Vision, including America’s Best, is hiring an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department and drive store performance. You will coach optical staff, manage promotions, and ensure outstanding customer service while upholding company policies and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, financial awareness, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with store leadership and corporate offices.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical sales; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and coach teams.
• Understands store operations and performance standards.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent organizational skills and forecasting staffing needs.
• Ability to analyze finances and marketing reports.
• Demonstrated problem-solving across scope.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (review P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and lead by example.
• Ensure quality standards, review remakes and enforce policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reports.
• Coordinate store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising; ensure awareness.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates and ensure daily tasks are completed.
• Assist GM with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting and retaining staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Comply with licensing/credential requirements where applicable.
