Job summary

National Vision, via America's Best, seeks an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department, drive profits and ensure top-notch customer service. You will supervise Opticians and sales associates, manage inventory, and partner with leadership to execute promotions and maintain compliance.

The role involves forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, and keeping a motivated team focused on excellent performance and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience; supervising experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent written and spoken communication for team management.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and tracking progress.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (e.g. review P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure the team does the same.
• Review quality standards, remakes, and uphold company policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide reports.
• Promote store promotions, advertising and visual merchandising; align staff on promos.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and Sales colleagues; ensure day-to-day tasks are completed.
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruiting, and retaining a strong staff.
• Motivate the team to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, ensure licensing/credentials meet legal requirements.
