America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee the eyeglass department, drive sales, and maintain high customer service standards at our New Jersey location. You will supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure operations align with company policies.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and the ability to analyze financial reports to meet profit and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience and supervising experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) for team management.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and train associates to do the same.
• Review quality standards, remakes, and enforce policies for compliance.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reporting.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are current and publicized to staff and physicians.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure day-to-day functions are completed on time.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing, recruiting, and retaining staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
