Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is hiring an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in New Jersey. The role drives profit, leads the eyeglass department, and mentors Opticians and CL Sales associates to meet sales and customer service goals.

You'll oversee staffing, merchandising, and compliance with company standards, while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining store operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong store operations knowledge and standards for success.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• ABO and NCLE Certified.

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Optimizes and oversees the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
• Conveys a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensures all associates do the same.
• Ensures quality standards are met.
• Ensures effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives according to Brand and Company standards.
• Supervises and motivates Opticians and CL Sales associates and ensures timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assists the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining staff.
• Leads and coaches associates towards attainment of sales and customer service goals.
• Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
