Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optical Consultant to support optometrists and educate patients about frames, lenses, and lens treatments. You will help identify visual needs, build rapport, and ensure accurate order processing within the EHR/ALE system.

You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, and insurance coverage while delivering outstanding customer service and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional patient experience and explain product recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings based on needs.
• Interact with technicians and doctors to manage orders and status updates.
• Enter prescription information into EHR/ALE systems and maintain documentation.
• Educate patients on insurance, warranties, and care for eyewear.
