Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician to enhance the Total Patient Experience while supporting patients' medical needs. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, and connect patient needs to goods and services offered.

The role involves assisting with frame selection, operating lensometry equipment, and ensuring accurate measurements to deliver precise eyewear and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent education/experience.
• Background check required; must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and medical support to patients.
• Determine patient needs and upsell to meet expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and facial measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Take measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, pantoscopic tilt).
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense glasses/contacts using current process.
