Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment in Bee Cave, Texas. The role involves helping patients select frames, lenses, and accessories that suit prescriptions, lifestyle, and personal style.

You will ensure proper frame fit, take precise measurements, and dispense lenses while delivering top-tier customer service. Knowledge of insurance basics and EHR entry is essential for accurate patient records and timely order

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification is required.
• ABO/NCLE certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician is strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Proficiency with PC skills (MS Office, Windows) and strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Take and record accurate measurements and dispense glasses ensuring proper fit.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranty, and available lens treatments.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter information into the EHR and ALE systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice area.
