Job summary

Affinity Eye Care in Saint Cloud, MN seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will assist with selecting frames, lenses, and coatings, ensure proper fit, and maintain accurate dispensing and documentation in the EHR system.

The role emphasizes delivering an extraordinary patient experience, staying current on products, and educating patients on care, insurance, and warranty options. On-site, full-time position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains customized product/service recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments suitable for lifestyle and prescription.
• Keep informed on products, rebates, lenses, and frames available.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE systems and maintain patient charts.
• Educate patients on eyeglass and contact lens care, warranty, and protection plans.
• Inspect, adjust, and dispense glasses for correct fit and comfort.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status and any issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and frame displays.
