Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician in a clinical office setting to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, supporting doctors and delivering a world class Total Patient Experience. You will assist patients in selecting frames, coordinate frames with prescriptions, and operate lensometers to ensure precise eyewear.

Achieve accurate measurements (bridge, eye size, PD, etc.), dispense orders, and repair/adjust frames while educating patients on lens options and coatings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or equivalent experience
• Experience in a medical/optical office preferred
• ABO/NCLE certifications preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions
• Able to operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
• Educate and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suit patient needs
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and pantoscopic tilt
• Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders using current process
