Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to join our team in Massachusetts. You will help patients select eyewear and accessories that fit prescriptions, lifestyles, and personal style, ensuring proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and precise lens dispensing.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through options, updating them on order status, and maintaining high standards of patient satisfaction and product knowledge. A commitment to quality is essential.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required
• Optical dispensing experience preferred
• HIPAA knowledge helpful
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required
• PC skills including MS Office, Windows
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient experience with eyewear recommendations
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses and accessories
• Verify prescriptions and ensure proper lens fitting and measurements
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE system accurately
• Explain insurance benefits and coverage related to eyewear
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice and displays
• Collaborate with technicians and managers to resolve order issues
