Qualifications

• State licensure required for optician practice.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• HIPAA requirements knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with PC skills and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings based on prescription and lifestyle needs.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and related systems accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service and educate patients on insurance benefits and coverage.
• Communicate with technicians and managers to track order status and resolve issues.
