Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician in Highland Heights, OH to support Optometrists with pre-testing, diagnostics, and patient education. You will manage appointment schedules, assist with testing, and maintain accurate electronic health records to ensure high-quality patient experiences.

The role requires familiarity with ophthalmic terminology, prior experience in eye care, and relevant certification. On-site, full-time with benefits including 401(k), vision discount, and HSA/FSA.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with eye treatment terminology.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds).
• Schedule referrals and manage appointments for efficiency.
• Maintain patient records per HIPAA and assist with medical documentation.
