Warby Parker in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Optometric Technician to work closely with our Optometrists and care for eye exam patients. You will manage high patient volumes, conduct pre-testing, assist with contact lens insertion/removal training, and support data collection and record-keeping in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Optometric Technician training or CPOT certification required.
• Experience in ophthalmic/medical environment preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/privacy practices encouraged.

Responsabilités

• Act as primary liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, ocular motility, retinal imaging, lensometry).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exam appointments.
• Train on contact lens insertion/removal and mentor others as directed.
• Assist with booking, confirmations, outreach, and follow-up for a seamless experience.
• Efficiently manage patient flow through eye exam process.
• Maintain meticulous records of data collected and prepare reports for medical professionals.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy policy compliance and company procedures.
• Prepare and maintain organized exam room, replenish supplies, and calibrate equipment.
• Support retail sales team as directed by Store Leader.
