Warby Parker is seeking a skilled Optometric Technician to work closely with our optometrists, delivering a stellar patient experience in-store. You will handle pre-testing, data collection, and training for contact lens insertion/removal while supporting both in-person and video-assisted eye exams.

Join a high-volume retail eye care team, maintain accurate records, and ensure HIPAA/privacy adherence. This role includes conditioning exam rooms, replenishing supplies, and assisting the retail

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting doctors in a medical environment.
• Familiar with eyewear and able to describe features and benefits to patients.
• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.
• Ability to work in a high-volume retail eye-exam setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between doctor and patient, establishing rapport with eye exam patients.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, etc.).
• Support in person and video-assisted eye exam appointments when available.
• Train new staff on insertion/removal training for contact lenses as directed by the Store Leader.
• Assist with booking processes, appointment confirmations, and follow-ups to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Manage patient flow through the eye exam process.
• Maintain meticulous records of data collected and assist in preparing reports for medical professionals.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA/PIPEDA and company policies.
• Prepare and maintain organized exam rooms, replenish supplies, and calibrate equipment.
• Support the retail sales team as directed by the Store Leader.
