Job summary

Warby Parker is hiring an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists in a fast-paced store environment. You will perform pre-testing, assist with eye exams, and support new contact lens training while maintaining patient records and ensuring privacy compliance.

You will help with appointment flow, data collection, and calibration of equipment, contributing to a stellar patient experience at Warby Parker locations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Familiar with eyewear features and benefit explanations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between doctor and patient and build rapport.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, etc.).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exam appointments as available.
• Deliver insertion/removal training for new contact lens wearers and train team members.
• Assist with booking process, outreach, and follow-up to ensure smooth appointments.
• Maintain accurate data records and assist with reports for medical professionals.
• Adhere to HIPAA/PIPEDA and company procedures.
• Prepare and maintain organized exam rooms and ensure equipment cleanliness.
