Job summary

Kovach Eye Institute, Ltd. is looking for a Scribe to support physicians in the clinic and help with administrative and clinical tasks. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required to start.

The role involves transcribing data into the patient record, assisting with testing, scheduling, and room setup. You will work with a team to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior optometry experience preferred.
• Proficient in EHR and keyboarding with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into EHR accurately during exams.
• Assist doctors and technicians with patient procedures and testing.
• Escort patients to Optical and introduce to the Optician, explaining recommendations.
• Coordinate scheduling and manage patient flow; communicate delays.
• Prepare exam room and maintain inventory of instruments and supplies.
• Provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Travel to support other offices if needed.
