Job summary

Kovach in Illinois South Barrington is seeking a Medical Scribe to support physicians during patient exams, transcribing data into the EHR and aiding the clinical team.

This role emphasizes accuracy, strong communication, and a patient-friendly approach, with a starting wage of $18.00/hour plus benefits and potential wage growth through our certification program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in optometry preferred.
• Ability to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into EHR during exams as directed by the doctor.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Escort patients to Optical and introduce to the Optician.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow.
• Prepare exam room and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, inviting environment for patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
