Job summary

Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a Scribe to support clinicians in the exam room by transcribing data into the EHR, taking patient histories, and assisting with testing and scheduling. No prior experience required; we provide training to help you grow in patient care.

You will work closely with optometrists and ophthalmologists, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient patient flow, and a welcoming, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with EHR systems and accurate data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter information into the EHR during examinations as dictated by the doctor.
• Assist optometrist/ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Guide patients to Optical and introduce to the Optician per doctor’s recommendations.
• Coordinate scheduling and monitor patient flow; communicate delays.
• Prepare exam rooms; maintain instruments and supply inventory.
• Provide a clean, welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
