Job summary

Kovach Eye Institute, Ltd. seeks a Scribe to support doctors during patient exams by transcribing data into the EHR and performing clinical/administrative tasks. The role includes preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, scheduling, and ensuring smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in optometry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• During the exam, accurately enter information into EHR as dictated by the doctor.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Escort the patient to Optical and introduce to the Optician, reiterating the doctor’s recommendations.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Travel to support other offices will be required.
