Job summary

Kovach Eye Institute is hiring a Scribe to support physicians in the clinic, handling EHR entry during exams and assisting with patient flow. No experience? We provide training and certification opportunities to grow in eye care.

The role offers starting hourly wages around $18.00+ based on experience, with benefits including health/dental/vision and 401k, plus holidays and PTO. This on-site position supports a collaborative clinical team in Lincolnwood, IL.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in optometry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter information into the EHR during patient exams as dictated by the doctor.
• Assist the optometrist/ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Escort patients to Optical and introduce to the Optician, reiterating the doctor’s recommendations.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as determined by leadership.
