Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training will be provided even if you have no optical experience, enabling you to contribute to a best-in-class patient experience.

The role reports to the Office General Manager and may require some weekend and evening shifts to keep patient flow efficiently moving through appointments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• People skills and comfort with patients.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product, and services.
• Collaborative team player that provides the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing in collaboration with the doctor.
