Job summary

AEG Vision seeks an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists in delivering high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and manage scheduling to ensure a smooth patient flow.

You will maintain patient records in EHR and handle related clerical duties, including HIPAA compliance, while answering patient questions about medications and treatment.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye meds.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient care.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
