Job summary

AEG is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to support daily operations, patient flow, and team coordination on the practice floor. You will help ensure high-quality patient care and smooth service execution across multiple practice functions while developing leadership capabilities for expanded responsibilities.

This hands-on role emphasizes coaching, onboarding, and collaboration with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to maintain patient-centered service and efficient exam flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical, healthcare, retail, or comparable service/operations.
• Demonstrated leadership capability in previous roles.
• Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, and service execution.
• Work on the practice floor and assist across practice functions to support patient care and operational execution.
• Learn and support key practice roles including patient care coordination, optical sales and service, and technician/clinical support.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, training reinforcement, and employee-related follow-up as requested.
• Serve as the designated practice point of contact in the Practice Manager’s absence when assigned.
