Job summary

AEG is seeking a Practice Manager to lead daily operations, improve patient flow, and drive high performance across a busy optical practice in Indiana. You will coach staff, coordinate with the Optometrist, and ensure services meet clinical standards while optimizing business performance.

You will support team development, adopt evolving systems and AI-enabled workflows, and align staff to patient care goals. This role demands strategic thinking and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in optical, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or a comparable service environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Management education preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Eyecare or optical practice leadership experience preferred.
• Optician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily practice operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, labor planning, service execution, and operational consistency.
• Serve as the primary on-site floor leader, supporting team alignment, patient needs, service recovery, and real-time priorities.
• Establish clear expectations for staff and ensure understanding of daily priorities, patient care standards, and performance goals.
• Partner with the Optometrist to support exam flow, clinical support, patient handoffs, and evolving services.
• Lead, coach, develop, recognize, and hold team members accountable for performance and patient care standards.
• Support new hire development, ongoing training, and adherence to company initiatives and technology updates.
• Reinforce exceptional patient service behaviors that build trust and a smooth experience.
• Monitor patient feedback, identify trends and opportunities, and address operational barriers.
• Review performance data to identify gaps and opportunities and communicate priorities to the team.
