Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Assistant Practice Manager to support daily practice operations, patient flow, and team coordination on the practice floor.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on delivering excellent patient care, coaching staff, and partnering with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to optimize exam flow and service delivery. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication, organization, and adaptability in a fast-paced eye-care environment.

Qualifications

• State licensure required.
• Extensive dispensing experience is required.
• Experience in optical, optometric, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or similar service/operations.
• Experience in one or more optical or practice functions is preferred.
• 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, service execution.
• Work on the practice floor and assist across practice functions to support patient care and operational execution.
• Learn and support key practice roles such as patient care coordination and optical sales.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and training reinforcement for the team.
• Communicate priorities, expectations, and service standards to the team.
• Partner with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to support exam flow and patient handoffs.
• Observe and coach team members to maintain patient-centered service behaviors.
• Participate in interviews, onboarding, and team development as requested.
