Job summary

AEG Vision in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Licensed Practice Manager to lead and develop the on-site team, deliver exceptional patient care, and drive meaningful business results. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in optical, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or a comparable service environment.
• State Licensure required.
• Optical dispensing experience required.
• Optician certification preferred.
• Ability to guide and coach team across multiple functions.
• Strong communication and data-driven performance focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily practice operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, labor planning, service execution, and operational consistency across the practice.
• Serve as the primary on-site floor leader by supporting team alignment, patient needs, service recovery, and real-time priorities.
• Establish clear expectations for staff regarding priorities, roles, patient care standards, and performance goals.
• Partner with the Optometrist to support exam flow, clinical support, and patient handoffs.
• Lead, coach, develop, recognize, and hold staff accountable for performance and patient care standards.
• Support new hire development, ongoing training, and adoption of systems and AI-enabled tools.
• Ensure adaptive response to evolving systems and AI-enabled technology.
• Communicate key business priorities to the practice team and link results to behavior.
