Job summary

Luxottica’s Basden Eye Care is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to ensure exceptional patient experiences at the front desk and through seamless clinical coordination. The role supports doctors, visitors, and patients, schedules appointments, processes payments, and safeguards patient confidentiality under HIPAA while contributing to a welcoming vision care environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Experience in healthcare.
• Familiarity with in-store technology, such as point-of-sale, patient record systems, and other software applications.
• Basic knowledge of services, products, vision insurance plans/coverage and office operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and handles front desk intake.
• Answers calls promptly in a friendly manner and schedules appointments.
• Manages patient flow to optimize provider time and room utilization.
• Notifies doctors of arrivals, delays, and reminders for confirmations/pickups.
• Processes payments and assists with third-party claims.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates supplies with Practice Manager.
• Protects patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Adheres to attendance, dress code, and company policies.
• Works weekends/evenings as needed.
