Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group seeks a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive eye care and integrative optometric services in our New Mexico clinics. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care using modern optometric practices.

The role requires an active NM NP license, DEA registration, and 2+ years of clinical NP experience, preferably in ophthalmology or primary care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in NM.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years NP experience; ophthalmology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams including acuity testing and refraction.
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions (dry eye, conjunctivitis, glaucoma co-management).
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields).
• Refer to ophthalmologists when needed.
