Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group seeks a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Eyecare surgical center. You will provide comprehensive eye care, perform full ocular assessments, and deliver integrative care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an active New Mexico NP license, DEA registration, and 2+ years of NP experience in ophthalmology or primary care. Join a dynamic team offering growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in New Mexico
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in NM
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program
• Minimum of 2 years NP clinical experience; ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred
• Proficient with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation
• Excellent interpersonal communication and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing, refraction assessments, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other ophthalmic procedures
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (e.g., OCT, visual fields)
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR system
• Mentor and collaborate with clinical support staff
