Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our eyecare center in New Mexico. You will perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose ocular conditions, and co-manage pre/post-operative eye care in a dynamic multidisciplinary setting.

The role emphasizes integrative optometric care with modern technologies and patient-centered care, requiring an active NM NP license and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license required in NM.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in NM.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years NP clinical experience; ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing and refraction.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions including dry eye, conjunctivitis, and glaucoma co-management.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order ocular imaging and testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photos).
• Refer to ophthalmologists when needs exceed NP scope.
