Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Practitioner to join our eye care team in Farmington, NM. You will provide comprehensive eye care, perform ocular assessments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support eye health and overall well-being.

The role requires an active NM NP license, DEA registration, and 2+ years of NP experience, preferably in ophthalmology or integrative care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in New Mexico.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical NP experience; ophthalmology, primary care, or integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing and refraction assessments.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR and participate in quality improvement.
