Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group in Santa Fe, NM seeks a compassionate Certified Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive eye care, including ocular assessments, and co-manage ophthalmic procedures, in a team-based setting.

Requires NM NP license, DEA, MSN/DNP, 2+ years NP experience; familiarity with ophthalmic equipment preferred; schedule may include evenings/weekends; EHR proficiency; competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (NM).
• Current DEA registration or eligibility (NM).
• MSN or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years NP clinical experience (primary care/ophthalmology preferred).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity, refraction, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR.
