Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our eyecare team in Farmington, NM. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, manage common ocular conditions, and co-manage pre-/post-operative care for cataract and LASIK procedures.

The role requires an active NM NP license, DEA, and 2+ years of NP experience, preferably in ophthalmology or integrative medicine. Expect collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a surgical center setting.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in New Mexico.
• MSN or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical NP experience; ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing and refraction.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR.
