Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group seeks a Certified Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive eye care at our Farmington, NM eyecare center. The NP performs full ocular assessments, co-manages perioperative care, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support eye health and overall well-being.

Requirements include NM NP licensure, DEA registration, and an MSN or DNP with at least 2 years of NP experience in primary care or ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in New Mexico.
• DEA registration or eligibility in NM.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years NP experience; ophthalmology or primary care preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including acuity testing, refraction, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract/LASIK and other procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR and participate in quality initiatives.
