Job summary

AEG Vision in Springfield, MA seeks an Optical Consultant to work with Optometrists and provide patient care and education. You will guide patients through frames, lenses, and coatings, verify prescriptions, and enter data into the EHR/ALE system while ensuring accuracy and excellent service.

You will stay current on products, rebates, and insurance parameters, communicate with teammates, and support order flow from selection to fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred.
• Minimum of one year as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary patient experience and explains product recommendations.
• Assists patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Interprets prescriptions and enters data into EHR/ALE system.
• Maintains knowledge of insurance plans, eligibility, copays, and coverage.
• Collaborates with technicians and management to ensure timely orders.
