Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Machine Operator 2 for extrusion to ensure safe handling and quality aluminum extrusions. You will support production, follow procedures, and assist continuous improvement on the line.

Ideal candidates have basic computer literacy, can read instructions, work a 12-hour rotating shift, and wear PPE. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; training will be provided to expand skills across the extrusion process.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication with peers and management.
• Willingness to wear all required PPE.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts with potential overtime.
• Preference for candidates with previous manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety policies.
• Complete tasks efficiently with safety and quality in mind.
• Collaborate with team and management to ensure smooth production.
• Willingness to be trained for tasks in other areas as needed.
• Remove end scrap from saw safely.
• Measure length of metal to ensure correct specifications.
• Place metal on correct racks and separate paint/anodize orders.
• Aid saw operator in quality inspections and sampling.
• Change out racks on conveyor line.
