Job summary

AmeriStaff is seeking an experienced General Machine Operator for the Extrusion Department to produce plastic film used in packaging. The role requires operating extrusion machinery, maintaining quality, safety, and housekeeping, and coordinating with plant departments to ensure accurate product information.

Key requirements include prior manufacturing experience, ability to perform changeovers and set prints, and strong communication skills.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate extrusion equipment and related machinery.
• Strong focus on quality, safety and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion line(s) for film production.
• Ensure quality and cleanliness of designated area.
• Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Identify and correct print defects and ensure proper press settings.
• Maintain communications with plant departments to meet quality targets.
• Follow safety policies and maintain good housekeeping.
