Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Extrusion Machine Operator to operate and monitor extrusion equipment, ensuring high-quality film production while complying with safety standards. You will work with a team, maintain accurate production records, and support continuous improvement efforts on a 12‑hour shift in a high-noise, 24/7 environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in extrusion or similar manufacturing, a HS diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Full operational knowledge of department equipment and ability to start, set up, operate, and adjust it.
• Clean attendance record with no recent disciplinary actions.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, weekends, or 12‑hour shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and verify equipment, personnel, materials meet specs.
• Assist with equipment set-up for extrusion processes (extruder, die, tower).
• Operate inline bag machines, winders, and other film equipment as directed.
• Inspect finished film and take corrective actions for substandard product.
• Train team members on procedures, safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain documentation of output, downtime, and quality checks.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and follow PPE requirements.
