Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations across departments in Michigan stores. You will mentor teammates, ensure excellent customer service, optimize workflows, and drive sales while maintaining Meijer standards and a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

The role requires 2–3 years of retail experience with at least one year in management, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas and customer service experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members, promote career development and promotions.
• Manage P&L, sales targets and shrink within the department.
• Ensure excellent customer service and Meijer standards in all interactions.
• Maintain store appearance and operations during peak hours.
• Deliver safe, well-trained team performance and reliable attendance.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions as needed.
