Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas helpful.
• Clear, precise direction to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflict and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze information.
• Ability to teach suggestive selling and lead a safety-focused team.
• Mentor team members across hourly roles and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintains store appearance, product presentation and standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning and career development.
• Documents disciplinary actions and handles promotion decisions.
• Responsible for P&L, sales, and shrink control.
• Ensures staff training and Meijer Friendly Initiative is communicated.
