Job summary

Charles Gabus Ford, Toyota of Des Moines, and Kia of Des Moines is seeking a Service Advisor to help drive service sales and ensure high-quality vehicle repairs with courteous customer service. You will forecast service sales, write repair orders, and maintain communication with customers throughout the process.

The role requires diagnosing vehicle issues, providing accurate estimates, and coordinating with the cashier for vehicle pickup.

Responsibilities

To ensure that Service Customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective repair of their vehicle within the guidelines of the policies and procedures of the dealership.
To diagnose the difficulty and decide upon the corrective measure to cure the same.
To write the Repair Order after having quoted the price and obtained the customer’s signature and approval on the Repair/Work Order.
To insure the Customer gets claim check for the vehicle and is instructed to present same for vehicle to the Cashier when picking up the vehicle.
To follow all respective dealership procedures relating to the vehicle, promised times, delivery of vehicle, and ensuring all dealership routing procedures have been adhered to.
To maintain a close liaison with the Service Customer to ensure Dealership retains this Customer as a “Satisfied Owner.”
To determine the time of completion of the repair and to advise Customer of such.
To determine where or how the Customer can be reached to ensure that no work starts without the Customer’s approval.
To promptly advise the Customer when the vehicle will be completed sooner or later than the time promised.
To increase Labor Sales and meet Service Sales Forecasts.
To solicit Customers for the service work by phone.
To sell tires, batteries, other accessories, as well as Service Specials and allied items.
To ensure the best possible relationship between the Dealership-Customer-Factory.
To approve adjustments on New or Used Vehicles within standard warranty period using Factory Service Representative if needed.
To advise the Sales Department of prospects for a New or Used Vehicle.
