Job summary

Willis Automotive in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Service Advisor to consult with customers and determine service needs. Under the supervision of the Service Manager, you will communicate diagnosis, provide labor and parts estimates, and guide customers through the repair process.

The ideal candidate has strong written and spoken communication, at least three years in a dealership environment, and a working knowledge of vehicle systems. Proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds software is a plus.

Qualifications

• + Minimum three years of dealership experience preferred.
• + At least one year of customer service experience required.
• + General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• + Acceptable driving record per insurer requirements.
• + Proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds service applications.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and determine service needs.
• Communicate with service customers to understand the nature of mechanical problems.
• Obtain customer and vehicle data and enter into the company software.
• Provide labor and parts estimates and obtain customer approval.
• Explain costs and timeframes, and update customers on progress.
• Monitor repairs and ensure proper billing and timely revenue collection.
• Coordinate with dispatch and service team as needed.
• Attend department meetings and assist in other related duties.
