Job summary

Kemper Corporation in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Express Adjuster to investigate and resolve auto physical damage claims in an in-office setting under supervision.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to obtain required licenses; Spanish bilingual is preferred. You will take statements, reserve exposures, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of entry level claims handling/claims intake experience OR 2+ year college degree can be substituted.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid insurance adjuster’s license as needed based on location and claim assignment (McAllen and Birmingham).
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience in non-standard auto a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take intake, investigate, valuation, establishment of exposure and settlement of assigned claims within a monetary authority.
• Ensure claims are concluded promptly, equitably, and economically per policy terms.
• Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
• Timely and accurate reserving of exposures.
• Deliver Best in Class Customer Service to Kemper customers.
