Job summary

Kemper is seeking an Express Adjuster to investigate and resolve auto physical damage claims in an in-office setting. This entry-level role offers supervision while you learn the process and licensing requirements across states.

Locations include Birmingham, AL and other cities; strong customer service and organizational skills are essential to manage statements, reservations, and settlements effectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of entry level claims handling/claims intake experience needed or 2+ year college degree can substitute.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid insurance adjuster’s license as needed by location (McAllen and Birmingham required).
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service to agents and customers.
• Experience in non-standard auto a plus.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a team-oriented approach.
• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake, investigation, valuation, exposure establishment, and settlement of assigned auto claims within monetary authority.
• Conclude claims promptly, equitably, and economically per policy terms and damages.
• Take statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses to investigate losses.
• Timely and accurate reserving of exposures.
• Deliver Best in Class Customer Service to Kemper customers and agents.
