Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at our premiere retail and experience location. You will lead operational processes to deliver sales, protect assets, and ensure outstanding guest service in a high-volume setting.

You will drive campaigns with corporate teams, manage staffing, and optimize labor costs while maintaining brand standards and a safe, engaging store environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 years in a leadership role in logistics, inventory, experiential retail, or hospitality.
• Experience with retail reporting, P&L statements, and labor management.
• Skilled knowledge of POS systems, Microsoft Suite, and inventory systems with the ability to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily operations of the location to ensure smooth and efficient workflow in a high-volume environment.
• Delivers immersive, experiential retail moments that support our company mission.
• Acts as a brand ambassador.
• Partners with corporate teams to execute campaigns, activations, product releases, and unique flagship experiences.
• Ensures all Build-A-Bear Workshop operational policies and procedures are followed consistently by team.
• Monitors and optimizes labor costs and store expenses.
• Drives store performance through detailed analysis of metrics and implement process improvements.
• Leads AWMs, SLs and Bear Builders by example in providing exceptional guest service.
