Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking a Chief Workshop Manager to lead store operations, drive Guest experience, and develop a high-performing team. You will manage payroll, scheduling, and forecasting while ensuring compliance with Brand standards.

You will coach AWMs, SLs, and Bear Builders, oversee hiring and promotions, uphold policies, and deliver an exceptional Experience First culture while meeting financial goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric business.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience using common store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).
• Proficiency in store operations and team leadership is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coach AWMs, SLs, and Bear Builders to drive sales and a superior Guest experience.
• Create weekly schedules and manage daily assignments with the AWM.
• Make hiring and promotion decisions with input from the AWM.
• Enforce policies, safety, and brand standards across shifts.
• Oversee inventory management, merchandising displays, and cash handling.
