Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager across operations, guest service, staff management, and execution of sales and marketing strategies.

You will lead shifts, coach team members, manage scheduling, inventory, and adhere to policies, driving an outstanding Guest experience and store performance within the Experience First culture.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience with a customer-centric focus.
• High school diploma is required.
• Basic understanding of store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).
• Preferred: 2-4 years in store management and an Associate's degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and staff direction.
• Support hiring, promotion decisions, and feedback for staff advancement.
• Lead shifts, coach Bear Builders, and uphold policies and brand standards.
• Drive sales by creating a strong Guest experience and managing merchandising layouts.
• Oversee inventory, receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Help build a high-performing team delivering exceptional Guest experience.
