Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop in Augusta, GA seeks a Chief Workshop Manager to lead the workshop operations, deliver an exceptional Guest experience, and drive revenue and team engagement. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on management in a fast‑paced retail environment.

You will coach Bear Builders, coordinate schedules and payroll, enforce brand standards, and partner with district leadership to maintain safety and inventory excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric business.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and team performance by coaching staff and managing payroll, forecasting, and scheduling.
• Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks.
• Hire and promote staff with input from the Assistant Workshop Manager.
• Enforce policies, maintain store safety, and manage cash handling.
• Oversee inventory and merchandise displays to align with brand standards.
• Develop a high-performing team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Lead shifts and maintain operations and guest satisfaction.
