Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager for our BABW at Union Station in St. Louis. You will lead daily operations in a high-volume, experiential retail location, driving sales, guest experience, and asset protection.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, campaigns, and store policies while collaborating with corporate teams to deliver flagship experiences. A strong focus on process, safety, and guest service is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years in a leadership role in logistics, inventory, experiential retail, or hospitality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with retail reporting, P&L statements, and labor management.
• Proficient with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth workflow in a high-volume retail environment.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, hiring, and ongoing supervision of store operations.
• Collaborate with leadership to execute campaigns, product launches, and flagship experiences.
• Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and policy compliance; manage vendor relations as needed.
• Monitor labor costs and store expenses; drive performance via analysis and process improvements.
• Provide exceptional guest service and act as brand ambassador.
